THE TWO CONCEPTS

Yorn Utzon

- Architecture is not static, it keeps evolving
Short text description- The meaning and purpose of a piece of architecture continues to change in time.

Richard Leplastrier

- An appearance influenced by activity
Short text description- The appearance and impression of a form is subjective to people as they carry out different activities.

Electroliquid Aggregation

"The appearance of architecture does not remain static, its impression and meaning evolves with the progression of human activity"

Relation to Theme- the multicultural students and staff who study or work at UNSW

The dynamic  form of the tram stop can convey a variety of impressions and understanding to the multicultural society of UNSW. Each individual student and staff have their own unique perceptions and purpose for accessing the tram stop which inevitably influences their understanding of the architecture hence giving it meaning and purpose.

Video Inspiration

The section and form of my structure resembles 3 waves. This was the original idea that I was thinking of when I did my section sketches for  the word "slick". Actually my building could be called "The Oasis" because it is surrounded my mountains and it visually imitates water hahahaha.

2 days before submission....

2 days before submission... progress update.

Previously I was facing a design problem as i was unable to find a way to enclose the centre structure in the first image below and was deciding whether to change my design. However, thanks to my tutor, I now have a way to enclose it (create a separate shape to act as the enclose).
In addition to that issue, I was also facing a creative block where I couldn't figure out a creative way to design my basement based on my initial sketch. Strangely enough, now that it's so close to the due date my creativity is finally kicking in and I have an idea (not shown yet).
I also added some mountain terrain to complement the form of my building.
